SHIPMENT NOTIFICATIONS
If you provided an email address at the time of order you will receive a Shipment Notification email once your order leaves our facility. This email contains important information such as the carrier, tracking number, terminal phone number, and delivery/due date. Please refer to the carrier's website for tracking or transit information. If you need specific information regarding delivery date or time, we recommend contacting the carrier direct.
DELIVERY & INSPECTION
As a Buyer and Consignee of the shipment you must take 5-10 minutes and fully inspect the shipment with the driver present. Do not let the driver leave without obtaining the proper documentation.
-
Before signing a receipt, ensure the driver has completed ALL of the boxes regarding condition of shipment upon arrival. (e.g., damaged or good should be checked by the driver BEFORE you sign for the item).
-
If you, or anyone else, signs for the shipment in good condition you are releasing the freight carrier from all liability and any damages become your responsibility.
DAMAGE
If damage occurs - no matter how minor - you should note damage on the delivery receipt for the driver and determine if you want to keep the product.
ALL damage must be reported through Gridiron Bumpers Freight Claim Form within 5 calendar days of delivery date. Gridiron Bumper Corp. will make every effort to assist in the claims process, but we can only file a freight claim with the carrier if you inspect and note damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
If you sign for the item in 'good condition' and fail to notate damage on the delivery receipt, the shipment becomes your responsibility and Gridiron Bumper Corp cannot assist with the claims process.
In the event a damage claim is filed, Gridiron Bumper will need proof of damage noted on the delivery receipt and digital pictures of the damaged product and packaging. The customer should retain original packaging materials in the event the carrier requires an inspection, and do NOT proceed with any repairs until approval has been given by the carrier.
If extreme damage occurs by the carrier, tell the driver you would like to refuse the shipment and it will be returned to Gridiron Bumper Corp for repair or replacement.
